Mathew 6:14, 15

If you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Forgive people quickly if you can. The longer you dwell on the hurt, the harder it is to forgive. Sometimes, we will battle our minds not to let the injury go, but releasing the perceived offense allows for God to heal us faster. Also, remind yourself that forgiveness isn’t saying what they did to you was right. The purpose is so that God will have the freedom to forgive you of yours. Forgiveness sets us free.

James 1:26

If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless.

Do you feel defeated? Check and see what words are coming out of your mouth. Most of the time we are the cause of our own defeat. What you believe eventually you speak. If you have God’s word and thinking coming out of your spirit, your tongue will confess it. “Well, I can’t help what comes out of my mouth.” Yes, you can, and God will help you. Imagine Jesus standing right next to you as you speak and see if that changes what you say. This is important to get a hold of, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.” Proverbs 18:21. If it weren’t possible, God wouldn’t have said it.

Psalm 32:8

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.

Don’t you hate making a mistake and having to do something again? You know what I mean. If we would have just listened to the instruction the first time. When we pray for wisdom and understanding from God. He will answer. What better guide could there be but God guiding our lives? God has always been a better guide than pride. We have limited vision where God is limitless. It comes down to choice really, about how big do you want your life to be.

1 Peter 2:24

Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.

Sickness is not a gift from God. Salvation, prosperity, and healing are gifts from God. God sending Jesus to the earth to die for our sins is the greatest gift. Healing is meant for all, this very day and hour. Jesus died so that we may live and because our value is that great in the eyes of God. Healing is ours when we believe in faith.

Psalm 62:5-6

My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defense; I shall not be moved.

Circumstances will talk to you. Circumstances will tell you that you should do something after you prayed and you’re waiting on the Lord. Give God time to maneuver for you. The devil will add some pressure through outside circumstance to raise the heat. Remind your soul to wait on the Lord only, then remind the devil about the rock of your salvation. Build yourself up in the word of God and take your eyes off the circumstances that are subject to change. Draw a line in the sand and say out loud, “I shall not be moved.”

2 Peter 3:9

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

The power of love brought the gift of salvation into our lives. Every one of us who loves God can look back and see His hand at work in their lives for the better. Honestly, without a longsuffering God where would we all be? Repentance can come in a second or take years for some people, but God still waits. We are all grateful He took the time and waited.
