Isiah 32:17

The work of the righteousness will be peace, and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever.

When we believed with our heart in Jesus and spoke it to our salvation, we gained right standing. The key here is that right standing enables us to move forward without having to be sin conscious. Sin doesn’t lead to peace it leads to disorder. We were out of order without God. God sent Jesus to die for our sins and re-establish order in our lives. Who doesn’t like order? Many people are drowning in their lives without Jesus and His order. Without order, our lives become a painful drudgery. When righteousness was sent to work in our lives peace, quietness and assurance follow right behind.
