Psalm 27: 1-3

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.

Troubles and Confidence don’t seem to go together do they, but they should. We should realize the moment we step out of bed in the morning that Jesus is there to protect us and the devil will try to tear us down. We shouldn’t fear when the Lord has already planned our way out. The psalm is bold to remind us to build ourselves up in the Lord. The more we meditate on this psalm, the more boldness comes out of our spirit and mouths. The moment an attack occurs, we repeat these words until the devil knows we know where our safety resides.
