Mark 11:22-23

So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God.  For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.”

We all have faith in something.  The question we should ask is whether we are prepared to believe God over and evil report. Will we have faith in God when the Doctor says we are sick.  Will we have faith in God for provision when our bank account is empty.  Are we willing to develop the faith to move the mountain and have no doubt in our heart?  

2 Corinthians 4:8,9

We are hard pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed.

Children fall down a lot learning to walk, and they just get back up.  As we get older, we are not so used to adversity as we learn to walk through this life.  How we decide to think about the difficulty in the first moments it comes will determine whether we are defeated or overcome.  Remind the adversity the bible says:  we will not be crushed, in despair, forsaken or destroyed and get back up. 

2 Corinthians 1:3,4

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. 

Our attitude will determine our outcome.  When God comforts us as we go through our tribulation, our beliefs will turn to hope. Hope helps us see a future and a way through what we are going through.  In turn, we will then be able to speak hope into other people’s lives. We are meant to comfort and lift each other up other during adversity.  We are meant to be a messenger and share the message of hope.

Deuteronomy 8:18

And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.

God made of a covenant with Abraham, which we receive the benefit from when we accept Jesus as our savior.  That is why we need to remember God and thank Him for all the blessings that came down to us through Jesus.  Without this covenant, we would not have the power to get wealth, healing, guidance, and protection.  

1 John 4:17

Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgement; because as He is, so are we in this world.

The power of the love of God in us and working through us is a mighty force.  What has ever been able to stand against the love of God? Nothing! When we develop our love walk and learn to lean on God and His word, we will learn boldness.  We learn to fight the enemy because we don’t have to do it with our strength because God and walking in love will fight for us.   

Hebrews 6:1

Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God. 

Sometimes we just need to move on and leave the old ways behind.  The bible calls dead works as works of the flesh and sin.  Our goal is to walk in love, joy, peace, longsuffering, and self-control.  When we decide to change it may take practice and determination to see it through.  The decision to walk a different life and a better life with God makes all the difference to our futures

Ephesians 3:12

In whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him.

Children have boldness and confidence with their parents because they are in the family.  When we are born again, we join God’s family, and God is our Father.  Our boldness grows to approach God as our faith grows.  The bible is the way we access these promises and learn all that our Father wants us to have.  We need to build our faith to boldness just as a child to a parent. 

Colossians 4:1

Masters, give your bondservants what is just and fair, knowing that you have a Master in heaven. 

We all serve someone in some way, whether we are in leadership positions or workers, the bible shows us what is just and fair.  We are called to walk as Jesus walked on this earth and have integrity toward everyone around us.  A world without these guidelines would be chaos.  We must remember that we are accountable not only to ourselves but to God. 

2 Peter 3:18

Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.

When we get born again, we don’t stop growing in the knowledge or the grace of Jesus.  Our lives are just in the infant stages of learning and growing.  Sometimes, God has to root out hurt and pain from the past before we can gain a deeper relationship with Him.  That is why we have to keep studying and hearing the word of God to remove any hurdles from our past. 

Psalm 37:25

I have been young, and now am old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his descendants begging bread.

The righteous are walking according to God’s word.  They keep God’s commandments and therefore maintain a relationship with God no matter the circumstances.  They pass down their knowledge to their children and teach them how to walk according to the Word.  Therefore, God is able to keep “his descendants (from) begging bread.”  It’s like handing over the keys of knowledge, so your children have a future.
