Isaiah 55:2

Why do you spend money for what is not bread,

And your wages for what does not satisfy?

Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good,

And let your soul delight itself in abundance.

We were designed by God to have a close relationship with Him that satisfies all our needs. Sin entered this earth, bringing counterfeit options that will seem satisfying but never fill us up. Even after we have been saved God may do a work in our hearts to remove and heal our broken past. If we call out to the Lord and He will show us where the wounds reside and help us heal. Then we will “let your soul delight itself in abundance.”

John 6:35

Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.”

Our relationship with God was never designed to be a complicated one. Our relationship with Jesus is meant to nourish and transform lives, where our end no longer leads to death but leads to eternity. When we move away from this world as our source and make Jesus our source, we will never hunger or thirst again. We will live transformed lives.

2 Corinthians 12:9

He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

We need to be like Paul and learn that our strength comes from God. Grace is unmerited favor of God and the power that helps us in our weakness. God shows His strength and power when we let Him do the work because our abilities cannot overcome the evil in this world. We need God, and when we humble ourselves and let God work through our infirmities, the power of Christ will rest upon us.

John 10:27-29

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.

The reward for being a sheep and following Jesus is eternal life. Nothing can compare to the love or the protection our Father gives us on earth. The word of God reminds us over and over of His benefits and love for His sheep. We need to remind ourselves when the devil tries to talk lies about our future that Jesus said, “neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.”

Deuteronomy 33:27

The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms; He will thrust out the enemy from before you, and will say, “Destroy!”

God is our refuge, and we can take protection underneath His arms. The enemy tries to rise against us whether finances, healing, depression, and loss but God has the answer. When we stand in faith and pray to Him, “He will thrust out the enemy from before you.” Nothing will stand in our path.

Exodus 23:22

If you indeed obey His voice and do all that I speak, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and adversary to your adversaries.

When God is for us, nothing can be against us in this world. God’s voice will guide us when He speaks into our lives and keep us from harm. All we have to do is listen and obey like a child who obeys a parent. The parent sees things the child cannot and knows things the child has yet to learn.  Nothing can come against God and win if we stay under the protection of God and obey His voice.

Mathew 12:50

For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.

When we do the will of the Father in heaven, we are called the brother and sister of Jesus. This should make us excited to be called the brother, sister, and mother of Jesus. The devil will try to tell us we mean nothing and have no value…well, My brother, Jesus says I do, and the name of Jesus has power and authority over creeps on this earth.

John 15:15, 16

No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made, known to you. You did not choose me but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.

Jesus, from the beginning, has told us the plan, the plan of God to save us and bring us into the family.  We were chosen before the earth was created and appointed to help bring about salvation on this earth. We are to bear fruit of the gospel in our lives, and that fruit is to remain with us and grow. We have so much value and potential as workers for the kingdom of God. Believe in your calling today.

Mark 10:43-45

Whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant. And whoever of you desires to be first shall be a slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.

The times we feel the best in our lives is the times when we are helping others. Our purpose and our faith become real when we step out and give of ourselves not expecting anything in return. The power of God’s word is expressed in our giving to help others. Kindness, love, and helping others is the greatest witness of God on this earth.

Luke 10:19

Behold, I give you authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and overall the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Jesus sent His disciples out, giving them power in His name. They went having Faith in the word, and Jesus is the word. The authority Jesus gave to the disciples He gave to us also when we walk by faith. We are not meant to be defeated by the power of the enemy, but we take authority over adversities. Our faith is meant to move mountains not hide behind them.
