Romans 8: 3, 4

What the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

We fulfill the righteous requirement of the law when we walk by the Spirit. Jesus died for us because our flesh could not keep the law and on account of our sins. The Spirit is meant to be in control over our flesh and tell it what to do, not the other way around. Our Spirit, when we are born again, is alive to God. The Holy Spirit will lead us and guide us in every situation. Practice listening for the guidance of the Holy Spirit today.

Ephesians 3:17-19

That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height—to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

When we believe in Jesus by faith and ground ourselves in love, we open the door for the miraculous in our lives. We have a big God who wants to do big things in our lives if we can believe. We need to get a revelation of what Jesus dwelling in our heart means. The benefits that God has for us cannot be comprehended without studying the word.

John 14:21

He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.

When we believe in something, we trust and follow what it says. We believe in things every day without thought. It is the same with the commandments of Jesus when we are sold out to God; we should follow His commandments and keep them. Not because we have to, but because we believe in Jesus. We know the benefits for our lives and so that Jesus can manifest Himself to us.

1 John 4:7-8

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.

Our goal is to love the ones around us every day. We know what it feels like to have others express love for us when we fail. We all fail. How much greater our understanding should be of each other in our ups and downs. Practice love when we don’t feel like it. Make it a habit to forget a wrong quickly and move on. Remember what it was like when we were failing, and God still loved us.

Mark 12:30

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.” This is the first commandment.

Love is a powerful force and a decision. God decided to love us when we didn’t deserve it, and He sent His only son to die for our sins. God’s love believes in people when they don’t believe in themselves. God gives us life, salvation, and protection, and it is a small thing to love God in return. Our relationship with God is the most important one we will ever have so loving God should be the easiest thing we do.

1 Corinthians 6:19, 20

Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your Spirit, which are God’s.

We forget that when we are born again, we become a temple of the Holy Spirit. We forget that we were bought with the price of the blood of Jesus. We forget that we joined God’s family, and He will guide us into the good things on this earth. We forget we are not alone and God said He would never leave us or forsake. Today! Remember who we are in Jesus and “therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.”

Philippians 2:9-11

Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those in earth, and of those under earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

What do we want in our lives? We don’t want to feel defeated and know we are fulfilling the plan of God. Jesus is our big brother and example for how to walk on this earth. God sent Jesus to be the firstborn among many brethren. The name of Jesus has power behind it to overcome the circumstances in this life.  We are to have faith like Jesus, walk like Jesus, and talk like Jesus.

Colossians 3:16

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

We know that what we focus on is what grows inside of us. The technology today is supposed to make things faster and easier, and it does, but we have less time.  Or do we have distracted focus? In order to let Christ dwell in us richly, that means we must let distractions go. Fellowshipping with believers will grow us more than any social media platform.

Hebrews 6:1

Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God.

The devil always wants to drag us back to our beginning and make us feel like we have to keep repenting. NO! Remind him we are a new creature in Christ, and all the old is washed away. Then move onto perfection in Christ through the word. Our faith over the past dead works is what will help us make progress.

1 Timothy 4:15

Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all.

We need to make progress on the inside (in our Spirit) before we make progress on the outside. We don’t need to be a Pastor to be a force for God. God needs ordinary people showing in their lives that God’s word works. God said we could! Jesus came as the word of God to show us the way and how. Ordinary people and even friends can speak into a life of another person just at times most needed. Meditate until we become that force.
