Psalm 51:6

Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts, and in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom.

God wants us to know the truth of His word in our spirit.  When we read the Bible scriptures, sometimes they will seem to stand out and talk to us.  This is God giving us a revelation of the word, and we gain wisdom and knowledge over situations in our lives. God wants us to get revelation, understanding, and wisdom so that we can overcome here on earth.

1 Corinthians 9:27

I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.

Just like a child has to practice and learn, so we too are children who must practice when it comes to faith.  We have to practice praying for our needs and believing until they are met.  We have to study the bible and discipline ourselves and stand on the word and believe.  We have to start small and conquer believing for a parking spot before we can believe for a new car.  How can we help others if first, we haven’t proved ourselves?

Luke 11:33

No one, when he has lit a lamp, puts it in a secret place or under a basket, but on a lampstand, that those who come in may see the light.

God wants us as believers to show what is good, kind, and loving to the world.  Without our witness to the lost and us, the darkness of evil would prevail on the earth.  We speak a message of hope to the lost so that the word of God will save those who don’t know Jesus.  Our job is to keep the darkness at bay and be a light.

Psalm 55:17

Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, and He shall hear my voice.

Prayer helps us focus positively on the word and God.  When we pray according to God’s word, we pray in faith, and God hears us and answers our prayer.  While fear is worry over the future prayer opens the door for the solution to the problem. We need to come boldly before God in prayer and supplication to find help in our time of need.

Mark 1:35

Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed.

Jesus could raise the dead and multiply 5 fishes to feed 5,000 people, but He still rose early in the morning to pray.  Jesus spent time fellowshipping and praying for guidance from God.  He is our example here on earth of what we need to do to be overcomers of the world system.  Prayer is power, and one of the ways we connect to God.

Proverbs 29:25

The fear of man brings a snare,

But whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe.Fear is a liar. The best decisions are never made in fear.  Faith brings us patience and peace with the knowledge that the Lord is working on our behalf.  We can’t see into the future, but God knows our end and our beginning.  When we trust that the Lord will lead us through, we shall be safe.

Mathew 6:34

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things.  Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

If the devil can get us to worry and imagine the worst is about to come, we will start speaking it. We don’t want to talk in fear what the devil tries to put in our thoughts.   Caste down those imaginations that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God.  Go boldly to God with prayer and speak His promises over the situation.  Laugh out loud in faith and send the devil and worry packing.

Proverbs 12:14

A man will be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth, and the recompense of a man’s hands will be rendered to him.

What we believe we will speak.  If we want to have blessings in this life, we must believe and speak these blessings. The word recompense means to compensate for damages done.  We can speak damaging words for ourselves and suffer for it.  Our mouth has the power to change our world and cause us to prosper or be defeated.  That brings a new meaning to think before we speak.

Isaiah 53:4-5

Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted.  But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement of our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.

God had a plan for the healing before the symptoms of the sickness ever appeared.  The devil sends symptoms to make us doubt the word of God. We are to believe in the unseen power of God over what we see.  We don’t deny that sickness exists we are to deny whether it has the right to be on a born-again believer.  Confess scripture over the symptoms and remind the devil he is trespassing and must leave.

Mark 11:25-26

“And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.  But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.”

We have the God living on the inside of us when we are born again, and God forgives.  We are to represent Him on this earth and not walk in offense or offending others.  Forgiveness doesn’t mean what happened to us was right, but it does mean we won’t carry the burden of the offense anymore. Unforgiveness hinders our prayers and relationship with God.  Forgive so God can forgive our trespasses.
