1 Samuel 15:23

For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.

Sometimes we hear from God and don’t want to follow His lead. Then realize later that what God had planned for us was better than doing it our way. The devil tries to talk us into rebellion against God by telling us it will be better our way, but look at how it will end for him. God’s ways are higher than our ways, and He sees what we cannot comprehend. So sometimes we need to be patient and wait for the blessings God has planned for us to come.

Proverbs 15:1

A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.

Sometimes a harsh word spoken too quickly stirs up more trouble than it is worth. Most of the time, we are choosing to be difficult and end up causing more problems than we intended.  When we walk in love and speak kindly to one another, our lives will fill transform in peace.

1 John 4:4

You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

Don’t forget who you are today — a child of God with all the creative power of Jesus. We are not weak or powerless with the Holy Spirit on the inside but a world overcomer. That is what makes the devil nervous and why he tries to keep us in doubt and insecurity. God’s ability resides inside us, and we have the power to overcome every situation in our lives.

Corinthians 10:13

No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

The devil knows our weaknesses and God is our strength. No matter what may come before us, we can choose to walk away from the temptation. We have free will to choose to sin or not. When we decide to walk with God, He will give us the tools to overcome the temptation.

Mathew 5:6

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.

When we want something, we will put all of our focus on it until we get it. The same is true with God and fulfillment in our lives. If we want satisfaction in our lives, we have to pursue a relationship with God. Otherwise, we will continuously be looking to fill the void inside and never be satisfied.

Daniel 10:19

And he said, “O man greatly beloved, fear not! Peace be to you; be strong, be strong!” So when he spoke to me I was strengthened, and said, “Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.”

God knows and understands our strengths and weakness better than anyone. We can rely on Him to strengthen us and help us because He loves us. He promised never to leave or forsake us or leave us helpless. In an emergency, make the first call to God.

Isaiah 30:15

For thus says the Lord God, the Holy one of Israel: “In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and confidence shall be your strength.”

When we build ourselves up in the word, we increase our understanding in what we believe. The confidence comes from knowledge, trust, and experience of the promises of God.   We learn the reasons behind what God does, then the quiet confidence comes into our spirits and walks forward in faith.

Ephesians 3:16

That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man.

When the world wants to beat us down on the outside, we should pray to God to strengthen us on the inside. Take up the shield of faith and quench the darts sent to tear down. Monitor every thought coming into your mind and cancel those that are not there to build up faith, peace, and joy. We have the power to overcome and are never alone.

Joshua 1:8

This book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then will have good success.

Where we focus our thoughts will determine the lids to our future. If we ignore the word and the guidance that it contains, we will not bear fruit that will last. The word of God has the power to remove any limits in our lives by changing the negative thoughts. Revelation knowledge brought about by meditating God’s word brings the world overcoming faith.

Psalm 32:8

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.

The longer life progresses, it is clear to see that there is an easy way and a hard way. We were never meant to figure everything out ourselves but to have God as the guide in our lives. God knows the way around and through the pitfalls. He sees the end from the beginning and can teach us the way to go. We just need to be willing to listen to instruction.
