James 5:7

Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord.  See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain. 

Jesus is coming back. Praise the Lord.  We don’t know when and it might not be in our lifetime, but Jesus is coming back.  The plan of redemption has not been completely fulfilled, and we still need to be doing our part on this earth.  Without us and letting Jesus work through us He can’t get it done.  Don’t be discouraged and be patient and be willing to allow Jesus to operate through you.  It’s all in the plan.  

1 Peter 3:8-9

Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous; not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, blessings, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing.  

If the devil can divide good people through strife, he will. Every one of us will have a bad day, but what makes the difference is how we treat people as we go through it. We can be offended, but it really isn’t that much fun and wastes a lot of time thinking about angry thoughts when we could be happy. The best is as Peter said to have compassion and love on another not returning evil for evil so we can inherit the blessing.

Psalm 23:6

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life;

And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Perspective.  It makes the difference to every decision we make. Whether our goals are long term or short term, it all comes down to our beliefs.  If we believe that we will live forever and want to live in the house of the Lord, it will affect our choices on earth.  Are we living for the long term with God or something short term for ourselves only here on this earth?  Our reward depends on the focus of our heart and if we believe in Jesus.

Isaiah 66:1-2

Thus says the Lord: “Heaven is My throne, And earth is My footstool.  Where is the house that you will build Me?  And where is My place of rest?  For all those things My hand has made, And all those things exist,” Says the Lord. “But on this one will I look: On him who is poor and contrite of spirit, And who trembles at My word.”

The fear of the Lord is the first step to accomplishing great things in this life.  When we humble ourselves and realize that God has the answer to every test we will ever take, then He can give us the answers.  The attitude that we operate with every day is something we can control.  A contrite spirit understands that it has made an error and is willing to learn from God. 

Jeremiah 32:27

Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh.  Is there anything too hard for Me?

We need to remind ourselves as we go through this life about how powerful our GOD is.  God made the earth and everything in it and us before we were born.  He knows the beginning from the end and still has time to keep track of each of us individually.  A bird doesn’t fall to the ground without God knowing about it.  There is nothing too hard for God, and He wants to help us in all we do every day.

Proverbs 14:26-27

In the fear of the Lord there is strong confidence,

And His children will have a place of refuge.

The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life,

To turn one away from the snares of death.

The fear of the Lord reflects confidence in His abilities.  The Lord provide places of refuge for those who fear Him and understand His ways.  Respect for God will change how we make decisions because we are aware of the difference between right and wrong.  The choice between life and death comes down to what we fear.  

Hebrews 13:15

Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.

Praising God helps us get our minds off the situation and onto God who will solve the problem.  It will feel like a sacrifice because the flesh will only want to complain to God over the situation.  However, to turn the problem around, we need to change our focus to the solution over the circumstance. Thanksgiving and praise to God is the way to do it.  

Romans 4:20,21

He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was able to perform. 

Sometimes the only thing that stops the belief is lack of knowledge of what it says in the bible. We want to believe God will come through, but we haven’t taken the time to read the word and see what God says. Until we read the word and get revelation for our situation, we will stay stuck in unbelief.  Faith knows no matter what it looks like Gods’ word is true. 

Isaiah 59:1

The Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear.

Our words are powerful, so powerful that God hears them in heaven.  Think of all the people that are on this earth today and God can hear our voice when we pray to Him.   Remember who sent Jesus to save us and keep us from harm.  Don’t let the devil bring doubt into the mind because our God is powerful, faithful, and hears us.  Remember this when we feel small how big of a God we have standing right next to us.

Mathew 6:34

Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things.  Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

We will never be fully engaged in today if we focus too much on tomorrow.  If we turn to the Lord and keep the focus on the day we are in, Jesus will walk us through removing the barriers and help us through.  We can only fight one obstacle at a time, and the future is never certain.  Jesus never meant for us to wear ourselves out but rely on Him.  Keep the faith on Jesus today, and He will see you through.
