Proverbs 20:22

Do not say, “I will recompense evil”; wait for the Lord, and He will save you.

Evil will try to work against us through people and situations.  God never said we wouldn’t have trouble; however, He did say we would have a way out.  God doesn’t want us to return evil for evil but step back and let God take care of it.  If we become offended and have unforgiveness, it will only pull us farther away from the Lord and protection.

2 Timothy 1:7

God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and of a sound mind.

We all have times when fear tries to enter our lives, but it doesn’t have the right to stay.  We don’t have to accept fear and condemnation thoughts but can replace those thoughts with the word.  We have God-given power to rebuke the darts trying to plant a seed in our minds.

Colossians 3:23-25

And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.  But he who does wrong will be repaid for what he has done, and there is no partiality.

The devil works night and day to keep our thinking small.  However, God directs us to have a positive attitude in whatever we do because we are doing it for God.  Our mindset changes when we know who we serve in everything we do.  We can feel joy, knowing that our inheritance is with Jesus, the Lord.

John 13:35

By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.

When we have love for one another, it helps us forget the wrongs.  Love is a mindset that never opens the door to an offense.  Love cares for the unlovely and prays for the ugly things of this life. God’s love cared for us when we didn’t deserve it and can spread better when we share it with others.

Isaiah26:3

You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts You.  Trust in the Lord forever, for Yah, the Lord, is everlasting strength.

We can have peace in a troubled world.  It takes a little practice and patience as we learn the word and how God operates.  The benefits from trusting in God far exceed anything the world can offer us.  God offers us wisdom, prosperity, peace, and strength, and that is a shortlist.  Our peace relies on choices and choosing the word first in our life.

Psalm 23:4

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

There was an actual valley called the Shadow of Death.  It was a dangerous place that people had to travel through to get to a city.  Just as we have valleys that we walk through in our lives, we must not fear.  God is with us on our journey to keep us safe and comforted.

Psalm 4:8

I will both lie down in peace, and sleep;

For You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.

In a world that has gone crazy, we can rest in peace, knowing that God keeps us safe. When the news tries to influence us to think only in fear, we can turn it off and open the Bible.  What is happening isn’t a surprise to God. All He asks is that we trust Him going through it.

Matthew 7:7,8

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.  For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

Sometimes we have to press in to find the answers because sometimes the answers don’t come instantly.  Our persistence in faith will open the closed doors.  We know that not everything is easy and that trusting in God and His word is the way.  We can’t give up in the face of adversity because we are in overcomers’ bloodlines.

Hebrews 4:16

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

As a born-again believer, we have a covenant relationship with God.  That means we can come boldly before God making requests in our time of need.  We don’t have to beg but pray according to His word.  God said in His word that we are healed, and all our needs are provided for, and we need to reference the promises as we pray.  Be Bold and ask according to His word.

Psalm 84:11

For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.

We have a wonderful God in heaven who is a sun and shield.  When we walk uprightly before him, he provides grace and glory for our lives.  We are in partnership with our heavenly Father believing and trusting in His word and promises by faith.  Then our lives will bear fruit from our relationship with God, and our lives show His favor.
