Jeremiah 32:27

Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh.  Is there anything too hard for Me?

Nothing is impossible to God.  However, if we are don’t believe God’s promises to work on our behalf, we won’t see the answer.  God is waiting to answer our prayers; we need to be ready in faith to pray.  God is no respecter of persons and sees everyone as equals when it comes to faith.

Ecclesiastes 12:13-14

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: fear God and keep His commandments, for this is man’s all, for God will bring every work into judgment, including every secret thing, whether good or evil.

The most beneficial thing we can do as Christians are to work at keeping God’s commandments.  We all will be judged for our works, good or evil, that we have done on this earth.  Nothing is hidden from God or done in secret.  We must develop our integrity and faithfulness to His word.  As we do this making the decisions to avoid sins becomes easy.

Psalm 111:10

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding has all those who do His commandments.  His praise endures forever.

Wisdom begins with time spent in the word, and it brings about reverential fear.  As we draw closer to God, we gain an understanding of His promises for us.  We gain confidence and knowledge of God and His laws that apply for the benefit of those who follow Him.

Hebrews 6:12

Do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Sometimes we all need encouragement in the faith.  Just like this verse is doing by telling us not to give up on the faith.  Especially if we don’t seem to be making progress, we might not be as diligent.  We need to keep going learning patience and from other Christians to inherit the promises of God.

Proverbs 28:13

He who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.

God gives us instructions to confess and repent when we sin.  Get right back under His protection and reverse the course in the wrong direction.  The only perfect person to live on this earth was Jesus, and we are to learn from His example.  Which means there will be practice involved and times we sin and need to repent.

Proverbs 8:17

I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently will find me.

Don’t you love the word of God?  A word that tells many times how much God loves us.  God wants a relationship with us more than we can comprehend.  A love so great that Jesus died for our sins.  When we diligently seek God for whatever we need in our lives, God will send us an answer.

Revelation 3:20

Behold, I stand at the door and knock.  If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

We became a born-again believer because we recognized Jesus knocking at the door.  God probably sent people across our path to speak into our lives to help lead us to Him.  As Christians, remember that our experiences before we got saved are the best witness to the unsaved.  Who better to show the love of Christ to the unloved than someone who has received the forgiveness themselves.

Luke 16:10-11

He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.  Therefore, if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches.

Our integrity before God is essential to measure our growth as Christians.  We cannot advance if we can’t be trusted with the new responsibilities, and the little things do matter with God.  Even the simple things matter to God because the little things add up.  When we are faithful and trustworthy, we will gain in every area of our lives.

Psalm 27:14

Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord!

Patience is a skill to be developed, and learning to wait on the Lord and His word for our lives is vital. We can avoid bad decisions and mistakes if we slow down and wait.  Sometimes the answer takes time to get back to us but remember the answer is coming.  God promises to strengthen our hearts while we wait and give us courage.

Isaiah 58:11

The Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.

The promise of God to continually guide us and satisfy our soul in drought is real.  God promises to keep us fresh and strengthen us with His word.  As we daily maintain contact with the word and renew our minds, He guides us in the way we should go.  A watered garden is green and flourishing, and with God, so will our lives be.
