Jude 24,25

Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, to God our Savior, who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen.

God can keep us safe in every area of our lives.  His word is true and faithful as we walk out our time on this earth.  As we put our trust in Him and renew our minds, He is working to keep us faultless.  God loves us more than we realize, and our lives are important to him.

1 Samuel 2:9

He will guard the feet of His saints, but the wicked shall be silent in darkness.  For by strength no man shall prevail.

The Lord is our guide, and He guards His saints in which way they should go.  Jesus will keep us from evil as we listen to the inward witness.  Man shall never prevail against God or His saints.  As our focus remains on God and the word, we are reminded to be of good cheer because Jesus has overcome the world.

Isaiah 43:2

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.  When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you.

We have a God who stands by His word for His people to be with us and keep us safe.  When we focus on God and put our trust in Him and follow His ways, we will succeed.  The world can be going crazy, but our world can be kept in peace with Jesus. The Holy Spirit on the inside as our guide and the bible, the devil, does not stand a chance.

Luke 11:33

No one, when he has lit a lamp, puts is in a secret place or under a basket, but on a lampstand, that those who come in may see the light.

The church is to be a light in troubled times.  A source of guidance against the forces of darkness.  When we do right to our neighbors and our neighborhood, we hold the darkness at bay and give hope.  Jesus needs us to be His example every day that light and beacon of hope.  We can’t hide our faith or be ashamed of being Christian because we are the only light in a dark world.

Philippians 4:6-7

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests by made know to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

We can’t fight a good battle in fear, and our prayers stop the fear.  Peace and trusting God is the best weapon in our arsenal.  When we move away from viewing our problems in the natural and turn them over to God, the supernatural begins to work on our behalf.  Prayer is a force to work on our behalf.

Mark 1:35

Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed.

Prayer is essential to our lives, whether for petition, strength, help, and guidance. Prayer is our call line to God in heaven and our communication.  For this world and our world to get better, we must pray.  Prayer can move the mountain or the small hill in our lives.

John 13:35

By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.

As Christians, a lot is going on in this world not to love.  God never said to love the sin but the sinner.  We understand and have compassion for people in this world, but we don’t support the sin.  Love suffers long and is kind, and we have all been shown love in our shortcomings.  We don’t have to support the sin to love the sinner.

1 Corinthians 9:27

But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.

Jesus came to this earth to save us and show us how we are to live.  We are representatives here are earth, and through our knowledge of the word, we become examples.  Our integrity then is an essential witness to the non-believer.  We should be consistent in our faith and not conform to the pressures of the world but follow the example of Jesus.

Psalm 34:7

The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them.

We have angels that protect us and keep us for harm.  The words we speak significantly affect what our angel can do for us. If we talk about faith and protection over our lives, our angels can bring it to pass.  If we speak fear and about adverse outcomes, that is what we get.   Here is a helpful gauge of our words for the next time we talk about our lives finish the sentence with “Because that is what I want.” Is it?

Isaiah 42:2

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.  When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you.

God never said we wouldn’t have troubles, but He did say He would be with us as we walk through them.  Our trust and faith in God and His word must be continual and constant.  When we remind ourselves that God is always with us, the fear never has a chance.  Our minds fixed on the promises of God, and we won’t be defeated.
