Proverbs 2:3-5
Yes, if you cry out for insight, and lift your voice for understanding; if you seek skillful and godly wisdom as you would silver and search for her as you would hidden treasure. Then you will understand the fear of the Lord and discover the knowledge of God. Wisdom has more value than silver.

Wisdom leads us onto the right path and keeps us from making costly, unnecessary mistakes. God knows and sees our past, present, and future. When we humble ourselves and cry out for insight into our situation so we know how to pray and what decision to make, God will answer and give us the wisdom.
