Jude 17-19

But as for you, beloved, remember the words spoken by the apostles of the Lord Jesus Christ. They used to say to you, “in the last days there will be scoffers, following after their own ungodly passions.” These are the ones who are (agitators) causing divisions-worldly minded devoid of the Spirit.

Jesus said the world would stop following God and follow ungodly passions. The world can make us feel discouraged and like outcasts. The best solution is not to focus too much on the world and to keep our focus on God. Jesus will build us up and strengthen us as long as we do not become weary in well doing.
