1 Corinthians 2:16

For who has known the mind and purposes of the Lord, so as to instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ (to be guided by His thoughts and purposes).

We have the most extraordinary life coach living inside of us that doesn’t require an appointment and is always available. The only thing we have to do is listen and recognize the voice. Next, we need to obey quickly before our mind rambles on, and we forget the guidance we just received. We have the mind of Christ living inside of us.

Isaiah 26:3

You will keep in perfect and constant peace the one whose mind is steadfast (that is committed and focused on You- in both inclination and character), because he trusts and takes refuge in You (with hope and confident expectation).

When we focus on God’s word, we will learn about His character and promises. We lack peace without the knowledge of these promises because we don’t know what is ours through Jesus. Our refuge and safety are in the Lord when we have faith in the word.

Proverbs 4:20-22

My son, pay attention to my words and be willing to learn; open your ears to my sayings. Do not let them escape from your sight; keep them in the center of your heart. For they are life to those who find them and healing and health to all their flesh.

What we give our attention to will be the direction our mind and focus will go. God wants us to write His words on our hearts so we can live with sound minds, healed bodies, and prosperous souls. Our healing and prosperity depend on what we focus on and believe.

Psalm 27:3

Though an army encamps against me, my heart will not fear; though war arises against me, even in this I am confident.

When we get to the point when we know God and trust in Him completely, we will have fearless faith. Fearless faith has fought battles and won with God on their side and knows that there may be trials, but God will deliver them out of all. The confidence will come from the Lord, knowing nothing is too hard for God.

Romans 8:15

For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading again to fear (of God’s judgment), but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons (the Spirit producing sonship) by which we (joyfully) cry, “Abba! Father!”

Our thoughts can lead us into slavery of fear if we allow them. We can keep our minds in faith when we monitor our thoughts and think with purpose and not random. We need to build our faith in Jesus and what we have through His death on the cross and salvation, making God our Father.

Isaiah 41:13

For I the Lord your God keep hold of your right hand; (I am the Lord), who says to you “Do not fear, I will help you.”

God promises to be there for us! We have to believe in God and His word. Do not fear or drawback when the enemy puts false images in our minds. But, caste those imaginations down and be of a strong mind. God has our right hand, and He is our strength and guide.

John 14:1

Do not let your hearts be troubled (afraid, cowardly). Believe (confidently) in God and trust in Him, (have faith, hold on to it, rely on it, keep going and) believe also in Me.

Fear starts with a thought that we don’t immediately cast down. Whether the thoughts are about money, sadness, hurt, rejection, or health, they all start with a fiery dart from the enemy. God says we don’t have to be troubled but cast down that fear. Jesus overcame the world and gave us the power to do the same.

Psalm 119:96

I have seen that all (human) perfection has its limits (no matter how grand and perfect and noble); your commandment is exceedingly broad and extends without limits (into eternity).

Maybe it isn’t until we are saved that we realize how imperfect we are and how God is perfect. No matter how hard we try for perfection, man will always be flawed without Jesus. But God opened the door and came into our hearts, opening the door to wisdom and perfection.

Psalm 119:81

My soul languishes and grows weak for Your salvation; I wait for Your word. My eyes fail (with watching) for (the fulfillment of) your promise, saying, “When will You comfort me?”

When we have put our trust and faith in the Lord, we know the answer is ours. With expectation, we wait, knowing that God has sent His word and fulfilled the word. Our solution and comfort will come from the Lord, who has heard our cry for salvation.

Psalm 119:33

Teach me, O Lord the way of Your statutes, and I will (steadfastly) observe it to the end. Give me understanding (a teachable heart and ability to learn), that I may keep your law; and observe it with all my heart.

With God, there will always be more to learn. We will never come to a complete understanding of all that God can do. When we keep an open heart to God and remain teachable, we will leave an open the door to learning. A willing heart is all that it requires and our time.
