Philippians 4:9

The things which you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things (in daily life), and the God (who is the source) of peace and well-being will be with you.

Faith and believing the promises of God take practice. Most of us didn’t attend bible school and understanding faith and how God works takes study. Training builds up spiritual muscle and takes time and willingness to trust God’s word even when we fail. God is the source of well-being and will be with us and guide us through all.

John 16:33

I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have (perfect) peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous (be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy); I have overcome the world. (My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.)

We should study the Bible and keep our minds renewed to the point that when a problem comes our way, our first thought is, “God already has the answer to that!” We never let fear in and let faith in the promises of God act on our behalf. Our courage increases when we know we have the answer. It is essential to remind ourselves that Jesus defeats the enemy.

Proverbs 20:3

It is an honor for a man to keep away from strife (by handling situations with thoughtful foresight), but any fool will (start a) quarrel (without regard for the consequences).

When we seek to keep peace in our lives, we will handle discussions with more equity. We know that quarrels are peace killers and lead to more strife. Communication is the key when it comes to expectations in any situation. How we deal with others in quarrels will leave a lasting memory, good or bad.

Isaiah 26:3-4

You will keep in perfect and constant peace the one whose mind is steadfast (that is committed and focused on You-in both inclination and character), because he trusts and takes refuge in You (with hope and confident expectation). Trust (confidently) in the Lord forever (He is your fortress, your shield, your banner), for the Lord God is an everlasting Rock.

Our minds can be a battlefield if we don’t guard our thoughts. The enemy will send darts where we have weakness and cause faith to falter if allowed. Perfect and constant peace comes from our reliance on God and His direction in the word. God is more than a symbol for us but our shield and fortress, and God genuinely want to help us keep the peace.

Psalm 34:13-14

Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit. Turn away from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.

We exercise our authority in our lives by what comes out of our mouths. If we think evil, we will speak evil and work toward deceit which robs us of our peace. Peace comes to our lives because we pursue what is good and holy. Peace is something we must pursue by controlling our thoughts and avoiding evil.

Isaiah 40:28-29

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth does not become tired or grow weary; there is no searching of His understanding. He gives strength to the weary and tired, and to him who has not might He increases power.

God is our eternal, never-ending life source here and in eternity. Whatever we need, God can do for us! Trust in the Lord when we are weary and the road isn’t clear. God will be our strength when we rely on Him.  Lay down the burden and take up faith, and God will increase our power.

Proverbs 23:18

Surely there is a future (and a reward), and your hope and expectation will not be cut off.

Our lights shine in a world that is losing hope. We still expect because we know God and His plans for us. We represent hope and the promise of the future. We bring light to dark places and will see a reward if we do not give up.

Hebrews 10:23

Let us seize and hold tightly the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is reliable and trustworthy and faithful (to His word);

Even when we have done all we know, we can’t give up. When the minutes seem like hours, we must continue to stand on our confession and faith—casting down the doubt that tries to enter and remind ourselves that God is faithful to His word.

Psalm 119:114

You are my hiding place and my shield; I wait for Your word.

One word from God changes everything. God is the authority in our lives, and He moves in our lives with the word.   God is our confidence and the rewarder of those who seek Him. He is also our hiding place as we wait confidently in faith, knowing He will meet all our needs. “I wait for Your word.”

Romans 15:13

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing (through the experience of your faith) that by the power of the Holy Spirit you will abound in hope and overflow with confidence in His promises.

When we get revelation from God about overcoming our circumstances, our hope flourishes in faith. Our experience of confidence comes from the outpouring of God into our lives through the Holy Spirit. The joy and peace come from believing and knowing that we are one step away from the answer.
