Isaiah 40:31

But those who wait for the Lord (who expect, look for, and hope in Him) will gain new strength and renew their power; they will lift up their wings (and rise up close to God) like eagles (rising toward the sun); they will run and not become weary, they will walk and not grow tired.

When we trust the Lord in faith, we stop trying to accomplish our own miracles. When we believe God has heard our prayer and wait in faith for the answer. We rest and stop worrying because we have developed faith in the Word.

Psalm 9:10

And those who know Your name (who have experienced Your precious mercy) will put their confident trust in You, for You, O Lord, have not abandoned those who seek You.

God never leaves us alone or helpless, and He is still in charge in the world today. No matter what is happening around us, we must occupy until He comes by standing on His Word and operating in His authority. We can walk through every situation with faith in God and the Word.

Jeremiah 32:40

I will make an everlasting covenant with them that I will do them good and not turn away from them; and I will put in their heart a fear and reverential awe of Me, so that they will not turn away from Me.

We have a covenant relationship with God, which means we work together for a common goal. This relationship is relational and personal and means God is just as committed. When we lean and learn to trust and rely on God in His Word, our lives will be transformed. God wants to help us fulfill our call and transform our lives here.

Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God (that is, His remarkable, overwhelming gift of grace to believers) is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Jesus is a foolish notion from ignorance, hurt, or false teaching to the unbeliever. When we put faith in Jesus as the hope of our calling, His Word becomes peace in our hearts. We can find all that we need and comfort for our days on earth and our futures because eternal life is our reward for believing in Jesus and salvation.

James 4:8-9

Come close to God (with a contrite heart) and He will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; and purify your (unfaithful) hearts, you double-minded (people). Be miserable and grieve and weep (over your sin). Let your (foolish) laughter be turned to morning and your (reckless) joy to gloom.

God is not a respecter of persons, and whoever turns to Him and humbles themselves will receive forgiveness. It doesn’t matter the size of the problem, big or small. Sin is still a separator from the presence of God and leads to anxiety, fear, depression, and sickness because we have lost the cover and protection of God. It takes just an instant to change our minds and direction with God.

Lamentation 3:22-23

It is because of the Lord’s lovingkindness that we are not consumed, because His (tender) compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great and beyond measure is Your faithfulness.

We have a fresh start with the Lord every day because His compassion doesn’t fail.  The love that God has for us goes beyond measure and He wants all that is good to come to pass.  God is our hope and redeemer, our strong tower for our lives because He is faithful who promised.

Psalm 119:66-67

Teach me good judgment (discernment) and knowledge, for I have believed and trusted and relied on Your commandments.  Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I keep and honor Your word (with loving obedience).

The blessing of good judgement saves us from a drive through the ditch.  Sometimes, we are not keeping up our faith and temporarily slip and can see the cost our lack of diligence does to our lives.  There is nothing better on this earth than being connected to Jesus and guided by faith.  When we keep that knowledge in front of us, we learn to keep in close contact with God.

Proverbs 19:8

He who gains wisdom and good sense loves (preserves) his own soul; he who keeps understanding will find good and prosper.

God said his people parish for lack of knowledge.  How much knowledge we have depends on the amount of study of the word we do.  If the goal is rock solid faith, then it will take time and commitment.  The value of the knowledge from the word will save us from many problems and mistakes.

Proverbs 14:1

The wise woman builds her house (on a foundation of godly precepts and her household thrives), But the foolish one (who lacks spiritual insight) tears it down with her own hands (by ignoring godly principles).

Godly principles build the foundations for a strong family unit.  Those principles are not based on feelings, anger, resentment, jealousy but a decision to follow the word.  The development of our Spirits will keep us in line with Godly principles which follow peace, faith, hope and love. God wants our families to succeed and will help us when we ask.

James 1:26

If anyone thinks himself to be religious (scrupulously observant of the rituals of his faith), and does not control his tongue but deludes his own heart, this person’s religion is worthless (futile, barren).

Just being religious and going through the motions of saying the right things and not believing them makes faith meaningless. Believing and following Jesus in our hearts produces the fruit of faith and brings tangible results. The results from believing in faith are why the condition of our hearts being focused on Jesus and the Word is vital.
