2Corinthians 2:14

Now thanks be unto God which always causeth us to triumph in the Christ, and maketh manifest the savior of his knowledge by us in every place.

When we are in Christ, and when we trust His word, God causes us to triumph.  Faith in God brings God’s ability to work on our behalf.  God is more than a coach on the sideline but an active player in our lives.  Our knowledge of God increases as we walk closely with Him.

James 5:16

Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed.  The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

We will never be perfect no matter how hard we try, and we all have faults.  Jesus came to make us perfect and set us free from sin.  The body of Christ is there to help hold each other up and support each other.  Our fellow Christians offer encouragement and prayer when we need support.

Romas 6:17,18

But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.  Being then made free from sin ye became servants of righteousness.

We all have pasts that remind us how far we had come when we made Jesus our Lord.  No longer do we not have a way to escape the trap of sin.  Our eyes are open, so we know to avoid the pitfalls set before us.  We are a servant to righteousness, and our right standing helps propel us forward into the light of God.

Romans 8:1

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Walking in the Spirit is freedom from the ups and downs experienced in the flesh.  The Spirit will always lead us in a positive, powerful direction.  The flesh and negative emotions can point us in the opposite direction.  We escape the trap and cycle of guilt and condemnation from following a dead-end road.

Ephesians 1:22

And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church.

God gave Jesus authority over all things and made Him the head of the church. When Jesus died, He transferred that authority to us here on earth.  We have power as believers on the earth through Jesus Christ.  Which means our prayers can move mountains, and we are overcomers.

Ephesians 1:16,17 (Barclay)

For it is my prayer that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit to make you wise in heavenly things, and to reveal to you full knowledge of himself.

As a born-again believer, we have the Spirit inside of us.  The bible and the Spirit are the most significant resources fully available to us to change our world and the world around us.  We are not alone or powerless, but we need to have the desire to reach out with the word and take hold of the promises.  God is waiting for us because it is a partnership.

Ephesians 1:18

The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.

Revelations come to us when we have consistent and constant contact with the word of God.  Our understanding opens, and we know that God’s word is real and can be trustworthy.  We see beyond the word, and it develops into a knowing, and faith comes because we now see and understand what we couldn’t before.

Luke 10:19

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Sometimes we need to stand up and make some noise when the devil tries to take over in our lives.  We have the power and the authority given to us by Jesus to send the devil packing.  Don’t even let the thought enter the mind that we can’t because that is how it starts.  Caste those thoughts down and boldly proclaim the word of God.

Romans 8:16

The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.

The Holy Spirit is our advocate with God being our witness that we are children of God.  The Spirit is our inward conviction guiding us in this life and the most significant asset we can have.  The inner leading from God through the Spirit will help us through any situation if we just ask.

Acts 4:31

And when they prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

A time is coming when we will need to speak the word of God with boldness.  We will pray and move hearts and minds to the love of Jesus and being born again.  We have been put here on this earth to help others just like we have been helped.  God gave us the Holy Spirit to provide us with the strength and show us the way.
