Romans 15:13

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing (through the experience of your faith) that by the power of the Holy Spirit you will abound in hope and overflow with confidence in His promise.

God will fill us with joy and peace through the Holy Spirit. He gives us the first dose of infilling, giving us confidence in the promise. We, in turn, are to keep ourselves stirred up in Hope and Faith. We have a part to play in keeping ourselves connected and engaged, not taking God for granted.
