Deuteronomy 30:19

I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse; therefore, you shall choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants.

We are supposed to choose life every day, with our hearts, attitudes, and minds. We reject the negative thoughts, words, and criticisms of the world. If we are to advance in the kingdom of God, we need to align our minds and words with it.  Choose life, eternal life.
