Mathew 12:33

Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.

A tree can’t lie to you as it grows in front of you and bears fruit. You can see whether what it produces is good or bad. The same goes for people. As Christians, we are supposed to bear good fruit and conduct ourselves with integrity. Meaning we are supposed, to be honest, and undivided in ourselves. How do we do that? We need to meditate on the word of God until the goodness the of word just pours out of us.
