Matthew 22:29

But Jesus replied to them, “You are all wrong because you know neither the Scriptures (which teach the resurrection) nor the power of God (for He is able to raise the dead).

Our defeat will come because of the lack of knowledge of the word of God. There is power available to us through the word for all our circumstances that the devil cannot defeat. Our reinforcement comes from knowledge of the word and study of the bible. When we speak the word, we defeat the enemy and glorify the power of God.

Psalm 71:18

And even when I am old and gray headed, O God, do not abandon me, until I declare Your (mighty) strength to this generation, your power to all who are to come.

Our lives are meant to be a testament to the power and strength of God on this earth. Our testimony filled with the good things God has done in our lives will speak to those who do not believe in Jesus. Even though we age, it doesn’t mean we stop talking about all the good things God has done in our lives.

Job 26:11-14

The pillars of the heavens tremble and are terrified at His rebuke. He stirred up the sea by His power, and by His understanding the smashed (proud) Rahab. By His breath the heavens are cleared; His hand has pierced the (swiftly) fleeing serpent. Yet these are just the fringes of His ways (mere samples of His power), the faintest whisper of His voice! Who can contemplate the thunder of His (full) mighty power?

The Bible is our plug-in through Jesus and salvation to the mighty power of God. We are not weak or helpless when we proclaim and stand on the word of God. Nothing is too hard for God, and no situation is beyond repair. When we keep our focus, confidence, and faith in God, God can use His power to work through us.

Job 26:7-10

It is He who spreads out the north over emptiness and hangs the earth on nothing. He wraps the waters in His clouds (which otherwise would spill on earth all at once), and the cloud does not burst them. He covers the face of the full moon and spreads His cloud over it. He has inscribed a circular limit (the horizon) on the face of the waters.

The power of God is mighty, and that power created the earth and us. Our creator has enough power to take care of us and our families. Our job is to believe in that power and lean into God for our lives. Jesus came to this earth to help God’s people, set us up to succeed, and connect us to the power of God.

Luke 7:21

At that very hour Jesus healed many people of sicknesses and infirmities and evil spirits; and He gave (the gracious gift of) sight to many who were blind.

Jesus came to give us abundant life. Healing did not die with Jesus on the cross; it is there waiting for us to reach for it. Don’t let doubt and fear steal what God has promised for His people. Cast down all imaginations that exalt themselves against the truth of the word. Claim the miracle of healing and be renewed with the word.

Luke 6:40

A student is not superior to his teacher; but everyone, after he has been completely trained, will be like his teacher.

Jesus came to this earth as our teacher. He is our example of how we are to overcome and be as His people. We settle for less than the fullness of the promises of God by not following Jesus’s example. When we remember to keep our minds closed to the enemy and open to the word of God, we will see the promises active in our lives.

Luke 1:20

Listen carefully, you will be continually silent and unable to speak until the day when these things take place, because you did not believe what I told you; but my words will be fulfilled in the proper time.

If our thoughts are not lining up with the word and promises of God, we will speak against them. God cannot change our circumstances if we are speaking negatively and not believing in faith. When the mind agrees with God, the word of God will come out of our mouths. We will have confidence that what God has promised He will do for us.

Mark 9:23

Jesus said to him, If you can? All things are possible for the one who believes and trusts (in Me)!

Nothing is too hard for God. Nothing!! No circumstance or difficulty before us is too hard for God. The problem is when we haven’t developed our faith to agree with and believe in God. We also need to control our thoughts and minds and ensure they align with the word in faith. Our success with God depends on our commitment and faith in God and His promises.

Mark 7:15

There is nothing outside a man (such as food) which by going into him can defile him (morally or spiritually) but the thing which comes out of (the heart of) a man are what defile and dishonor him.

Our hearts (soul) which contain the mind, will, and emotions, can get us into trouble if not controlled. When we guard our hearts, we protect ourselves from degrading influences and beliefs against God’s commandments. We preserve our peace and keep ourselves from sin by renewing our minds.

Mark 3:24-25

If a kingdom is divided (split into factions and rebelling) against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.

When our spirits and souls agree, we are in the faith. If we are in doubt in our minds and not letting our spirit lead us, we are divided. We must decide to follow and concentrate in faith on the word. We will only stand and conquer when soul and spirit are in agreement.
