Proverbs 9:8-9

Do not correct a scoffer (who foolishly ridicules and takes no responsibility for his error) or he will hate you; correct a wise man and he will become even wiser; teach a righteous man and he will increase his learning.

A teachable heart is essential. Our lives and growth in God depend on whether or not we are willing to learn. The lesson may come to us in a correction from God or someone speaking into our lives. We can increase and avoid sin when we have a willing, teachable heart.

Psalm 32:10

Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but he who trusts in and relies on the Lord shall be surrounded with compassion and lovingkindness. Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, you righteous (who actively seek right standing with Him); shout for joy, all you upright in heart.

The closer we get to the Lord, the stronger we can feel His love for us. When we diligently see His wisdom and guidance, we show our faith in Him and His Word. We are to be glad and joyful over our relationship with God as we keep standing with Him.

Romans 15:4-5

For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope and overflow with confidence in His promises. Now may the God who gives endurance and who supplies encouragement grant that you be the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus.

The Bible portrays lives like ours, with people making similar decisions. It shows the successes and failures and teaches us what is right and what fails. We can gain hope and encouragement and learn from others’ struggles. It shows the hand of God extended toward His people whom He loves

Romans 8:7-8

The mind of the flesh (with its sinful pursuits) is actively hostile to God. It does not submit itself to God’s law, since it cannot, and those who are in the flesh (living a life that caters to sinful appetites and impulses) cannot please God.

As Christians, we can see the works of the flesh and the troubles it causes. We have the Holy Spirit working with our spirit to keep us on track. We will avoid sin when we keep our minds renewed with the Word and listen to our inner voice.

Romans 8:1

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

It can happen to us ALL a slip into the flesh, and then we do something we regret. We will rightfully feel the condemnation because we know better. Don’t stew over it, but confess it to God, apologize if needed, and get back into the spirit and learn from the mistake.

Proverbs 8:14

Counsel is mine and sound wisdom; I am understanding, power and strength are mine.

God knows everything about what is happening in our world, community, families, and lives. God is where we should go first with every problem. He willingly gives us wisdom when we ask for it in faith. Let the encouragement from the Word and wisdom from God help in bringing guidance.

Isaiah 40:29

He gives strength to the weary, and to him who has no might He increases power.

The Bible will encourage us when we don’t know how to proceed. As we pray, our strength will grow, and the hope given to us through Jesus will rise. God does not get tired, and He does not sleep. We can count on Him to help us through.

Colossians 3:16

Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

Our earthly harvest comes from what we plant from the Word of Christ. The deeper the Word is alive in our hearts, the more the Word will be active in our lives. The body of Christ is a team building each other up and praying for each other.

Psalm 121:2-3

My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to slip; He who keeps you will not slumber.

God is our first line of defense in every situation. He has all the answers to our questions and solutions. God wants to guide us and lead us where we need to go. Our trust must remain in the Lord no matter the circumstance because circumstances change. We don’t need to figure out how God will accomplish miracles but believe He can.

2 Timothy 4:18

The Lord will rescue me from every evil assault, and He will bring me safely into His heavenly kingdom to Him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

Faith is a practiced mindset! When we are in trouble, we must believe what we read. Faith must come before fear, and fear will not get a foothold! We practice our faith and our belief and stand on the Word. The Lord is good to His Word, and our faith draws the promises of God.
