Colossians 3:23,24

Whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.

If we are Christians, we serve the Lord Christ.  Serving Christ and our relationship with Him should increase our confidence and motivations to be prosperous in our daily lives.  The accolades of the world cannot compare to the rewards we have in Heaven.  We are motivated to do good because we serve a good God and represent Him here on earth. 

Joshua 1:8

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it.  For then you will make your prosperous, and then you will have good success. 

Sometimes, reading the Bible feels like being given the keys to limitless possibilities.  The Bible provides examples of the tests that we face in life and the solutions for thriving and overcoming.  It takes some effort and focus on our part to renew our minds with the word of God.  We give our lives so freely to other distractions without a thought.   Can you imagine if we checked our bible as much as we checked our cell phones?

Isaiah 40:8

The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of God stands forever. 

The word of God is central to power in our lives.  God created the world with the word, and He spoke it into being.  For our souls and lives to prosper, we must invest time in the word.  The word doesn’t fade away, and the truth written in the bible will overcome any circumstance and guide us to revelations.  Fight the good fight of Faith with the Word

Mathew 6:34

Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry aboutits own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Our thought life will either be the breakthrough for the dayor break us down.  Sometimes we have tobe diligent and focus on what the bible says about our lives to not worry overa situation.  When we get out ahead ofGod, and we get beyond what we can handle. What we imagine is going to happen never does, and Gods’ word willovercome every circumstance.

1 Peter 1:23

Having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever.   

A seed contains all the nutrients it needs to start a new life until it is planted.  When we are born again, God replaces the old bad seed and plants new, incorruptible seed.  A seed has unlimited potential to spread its roots and grow.  The more nutrients (the Word) it takes up, the larger the plant will become.  Our job is to nourish that seed with the Word of God and grow and prosper in our lives as our soul prospers.  We need to see ourselves as a seed without limits in fertile soil.  

Psalm 121:2-3

My help comes from the Lord,

Who made heaven and earth.

He will not allow your foot to be moved;

He who keeps you will not slumber. Our God said He would never leave us or forsake us, that means He is with us all of the time.  We must take it on Faith and believe when God says it He is going to do it.  Sometimes, it isn’t so much a proving of God but proving of ourselves and our Faith and what we are going to believe.  We are in a partnership with God, and for Him to do what He says, we must believe that He can and will. 

John 6:63

It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing.  The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.

The Spirit through the word gives us life and life more abundantly. Our words will either lift us up or defeat us, and no one wants to live a defeated life.  The wisdom of the flesh (mind) can never reach the wisdom of God and the Bible.  As we draw closer to God through the word our lives will bear the fruit of His instruction. 

Psalm 119:103-105

How sweet are Your words to my taste,

Sweeter than honey to my mouth!

Through Your precepts I get understanding;

Therefore I hate every false way.

Your word is a lamp to my feet

And a light to my path.

The bible to a born-again believer is the instruction manual.  Every day we wake and go about our lives, and we either turn to God for wisdom and guidance or do it our way.  The Bible should be our way to increase our understanding and faith.  The word is a lamp that guides us through the everyday trials and stresses. 

Colossians 3:16

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 

We need to build ourselves up in our relationship with the Lord and the Word.  Not only, so we can increase our faith, though we should, so we can help each other and help others.  How many times has a fellow Christian lifted us up when we needed it most.  No matter what level we are in our faith walk, God uses all of us to teach each other and build each other up.  Together we are a force the devil cannot overcome.

Proverbs 8:34

Blessed is the man who listens to me,

Watching daily at my gates,

Waiting at the posts of my doors.

How rich our lives can be when we listen for the instruction of the Lord.  Nothing becomes wasted when we are following Gods’ lead and wait for His timing.  Our faith, patience, and trust develop when we trust and wait on the Lord.  Our expectation increases as we watch at the gate knowing that God will show up and answer our prayers when we pray in faith.
