Romans 11:33

O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

God is a treasure for us that we should rely on more.  God knows the beginning from the end!  He knows the answers to our problems and how to avoid the issues in the first place.  God sees our heart and what needs to be healed.  He has wisdom and knowledge that we can’t even fathom.  We already have every resource we could ever need in God, and God loves it when we turn to Him for the answers.

Romans 8:1-2

There is therefore now no condemnations to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.  For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.  

Our Spirit, when connected to God, is our greatest world overcoming asset.  The connection between our Spirit and the Holy Spirit allows us to be guided by God.  This connection keeps us free from the law of sin and death. We don’t need to know or understand how everything works in this life when we are connected to God.  We need to trust and turn to God for guidance to keep us out of sin.   

Romans 7:15-17

For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that I do.  If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.  Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.  

There is a battle between the flesh and the Spirit.  How many times do we have regrets when our flesh takes over, and we say something we shouldn’t.  We know it at the time, and we do “what I hate,” as Paul said.  Sin rises, and we don’t stop our flesh from taking over.  Our spirit can control our flesh as we develop in the word and speak our faith.  We have to exercise our faith, which increases our spiritual strength.  

Luke 5:16

And he (Jesus) withdrew into the wilderness, and prayed.  

We can only get glimpses of the full spiritual life of Jesus, but at this point in Luke, Jesus’s ministry is very busy.  Luke shows us that Jesus separated Himself from all that was going on to pray.  Jesus took a step back from the schedule to refuel Himself with prayer and fellowship with God.  Jesus shows us that we may have to step back in our busy schedules and find direction through prayer.  

Luke 4:34

Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth: are thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art; the Holy One of God.  

Does it not amaze that people will put more stock in evil spirits than a reality of God?  The devils knew precisely who Jesus was on a spiritual level.  He also knows exactly who we are on a spiritual level.  That is why the devil does not want a Christian to grow in the word and speak the word.  We have power over the spirits, just like Jesus, and we can use that power. 

Luke 4:18-19

The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He hath anointed Me to preach the Gospel to the Poor; He hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.  

Jesus came to this earth and was anointed by the Holy Spirit to set people free.  All that is in bondage or need healing or whatever it may be, Jesus came to show us the way.  When there is no hope, Jesus is our hope and deliverer.  Jesus opens the eyes of both the physically and spiritually blind.  Jesus came to give us life here and everlasting.  Praise the Lord!

Mark 13:43-44

Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury.  For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.  

The widow had faith in God! She understood God, whom she believed in, would provide for her.  Would it not be a test for the others who gave out of their abundance to give all?  Their giving didn’t require as much faith as the widows.  Giving is a trust issue.  Giving in a knowledge issue of the promises of God.  Giving is a faith issue. Giving in faith releases the cares of provision over to God.  

Mark 7:8-9

For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.  And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

When it comes to theology, the tradition is a doctrine believed to have divine authority though not in the scriptures.  What practices have we grown up with or sayings that we know that didn’t have any bible basis? Many good people holding to tradition keep doing things thinking that it is Godly and may wonder why they don’t progress in life.  The Bible is a revealer of the truth and knowledge and sets man free of tradition, and opens up a relationship with God.

Luke 6:25

A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

God knows the heart of man, whether it be good or bad.  Man looks on the outside and says, we can do nothing with this person.  God looks on the inside and says I can do great things with the person.  The heart is key to being used by God.  A faithful, humble heart working with God will move a mountain.  

Mark 4:21-23

And He said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? And not be set on a candlestick.  For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was anything kept secret, but that it should come abroad. If any man has ears to hear, let him hear. 

Our thoughts and our lives are not a secret to God.  Whether we like it or not, what happens in our private life always bubbles over into our public life.  We may not share our problems, but our actions and reactions will tell the story. If we focus on God and the word of God firmly in our lives, that is what everyone will see.  Be of good courage and keep the faith, and the light will shine.
