Galatians 4:6-7

And because you (really) are (His) sons, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying out, “Abba! Father!” Therefore you are no longer a slave (bond-servant), but a son: and if a son, than also an heir through (the gracious act of) God (through Christ).

We need to ask ourselves whether we are acting like an heir with God as our Father or a slave to sin. Salvation clears a path for us to walk in the authority of Jesus here on this earth. If we are not using our rights as believers, we are falling short of God’s best for our lives. We are heirs through Jesus and have the authority of Jesus, and we are to speak to our circumstances like Jesus.
