Galatians 3:9

So then those who are people of faith (whether Jew or Gentile) are blessed and favored by God (and declared free of the guilt of sin and its penalty and placed in right standing with Him) along with Abraham, the believer.

Jesus set us free from sin and condemnation when we received salvation. Right standing with God allows our prayers to be heard and frees us from guilt and condemnation of sins. Jesus opened the door for us to overcome the sin nature and the sin world. Jesus is now able to work through us for the good for ourselves and those around us.
