Proverbs 10:31-32

The mouth of the righteous flows with (skillful and godly) wisdom, but the perverted tongue will be cut out. The lips of the righteous know (speak) what is acceptable, but the mouth of the wicked knows (speaks) what is perverted (twisted).

Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth will speak. If our heart is not filled with Bible knowledge and teaching, we will err in our speaking about ourselves and to others. If we maintain offense, strife, and selfishness in our hearts, our mouths will speak those offenses. When we plant seeds of love, kindness, and joy in our hearts, that is the way we will treat the world and those around us.
