Proverbs 10:19

When there are many words, transgression and offense are unavoidable, but he who controls his lips and keeps thoughtful silence is wise.

Our words can either uplift or tear down. We are to control the speech out of our mouths just as we are to control our thoughts. Our words reveal our thoughts, whether positive or negative, whether harmful or uplifting; we are creating our lives with the words we choose. God wants us to live lives using the power of words for our benefit and not our destruction.
