2 Timothy 4:3

For the time will come when people will not tolerate sound doctrine and accurate instruction (that challenges them with God’s truth); but wanting to have their ears tickled (with something pleasing), they will accumulate for themselves (many) teachers to satisfy their own desires and to support the errors they hold.

In order for us to keep on the straight path in a wild world, our Bible and all that we can learn from it must be a priority. The Bible is truth against a twisted world and keeps us grounded in the faith. If we have no standard to follow, we will never see the error and sin trying to draw us away.
