John 1:4-5

In Him was life (and the power to bestow life), and the life was the Light of men. The Light shines on the darkness, and the darkness did not understand it or overpower it or appreciate it or absorb it (and is unreceptive to it).

The attitude of sin is always rebellion. Sin doesn’t want to listen or change direction even when it is proven wrong. Sin is selfish and self-serving and pleases the flesh. God sent Jesus as a light to restore and convict people of sin. Jesus reveals sin by convicting our hearts and God through the Word. Jesus is the only way to eternal life.
