Jeremiah 6:10

To whom shall I (Jeremiah) speak and give warning that they may hear? Behold, their ears are closed (absolutely deaf to God) and they cannot listen. Behold, the word of the Lord has become a reprimand and an object of scorn to them; they have no delight in it.

When we have a problem hearing from God, we need to check our hearts. What is it that we don’t want to hear that is blocking what we want to hear? The world before us revolves around selfish sin, and participating in the sin blocks our hearing. If we need to hear from God, we can’t treat His reprimands with scorn but open our hearts and repent.
