1 Peter 1:3

Blessed (gratefully praised and adored) be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant and boundless mercy has caused us to be born again to an ever-living hope and confident assurance through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. 

God, our Father, sent Jesus to this earth so we could have the opportunity to change the course of our lives for all eternity. No longer are we saddled with the burden of sin and no way to redemption but received salvation through belief in Jesus Christ. God deserves to be gratefully praised and worshiped for our second chance.
